The plumage of the Ringnecked
Pheasant is nothing short of spectacular. One way to
enjoy this beauty and add to the memories of your hunt
is to take a mounted bird or other feathered work of art
with you. Due to a growing need for high quality
pheasant mounting services and Laura’s keen interest in
it, she is now our “in- house” pheasant taxidermist.
Laura received her training in 2008 from Tim Hager of
Artistic Wildlife Creations, one of the top taxidermists
in the region.
Laura now provides full pheasant
mounting services for our guests and others.
Laura also will do fan mounts,
breast mounts, and full fan and wing mounts on turkeys
along with chukar and quail.
She also offers beautiful pheasant
wreaths and
feather balls for sale.
One of the best things about her
training was the extreme cleaning and thorough tanning
and preserving methods she learned. The birds and other
items she produces go through several cleaning and
tanning procedures to insure a bright, clean, long
lasting finished product. These are not cheap boraxed
birds that will quickly degrade over time.
